First, some belated exciting news … I won first place in this year’s Writer Games! Thank you to all who voted for your favorite story. If you haven’t had a chance to read my story you can read it here. You can also learn more about my story and the Writer Games here. I had an amazing experience writing to exciting prompts and trying my hand at flash fiction. It taught me a lot about writing concise prose and focusing on the stories most crucial elements. I hope some of you will also consider competing next year. You won’t regret it!

In other news, I have delved into the world of Writers of the Future and found a community of wonderful, supportive writers. If you write speculative fiction, I would strongly consider joining the forum. You’ll also want to check out Wulf Moon’s Super Secrets for some incredible writing tips. My writing has taken off since applying them. In the Writers of the Future contest, I have improved from earning an Honorable Mention to earning a Silver Honorable Mention. I have also sold my first story and have another in the works. More on that later!
