K. Z. Richards

My name is Kimberly Richards, and I am a writer, runner, and mom of five. My favorite things include finishing house projects while the kids are at school, takeout and Netflix with my husband after the kids are in bed, and reading/writing/running while my husband watches the kids. Oh, and to not give you the wrong idea, I also like the kids. Usually.

I enjoy reading writing fiction and nonfiction, but my writing tends to gravitate towards sci-fi and fantasy. My first novel, a YA sci-fi dystopian thriller, explored a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a deadly virus, and my short stories often include a speculative or magical element, but I have been known to write a realistic story from time to time. Anything Lord of the Rings-related is sure to put a smile on my face, but regardless of the genre, I have a preference for books that make me feel, whether that is through their beautiful prose, heartfelt stories, or relatable characters.
